Mrs. Ardith Christine Bowles, 80, of Thorntown, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Ardith was born Sep. 29, 1942, in Des Moines, IA, a daughter of the late Albert and Thelma Noble. She married Thomas Bowles in January 1980. He preceded her in death in 1989.

Ardith was a member of the Boone County Extension Homemakers, the Sugar Creek Gourd Club, and the Sugar Creek Art Center. She was also a faithful member of the Sugar Plain Friends Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Tracy (Jim) Hise of Crawfordsville; grandchildren, Charles (Chrystina) Mudd of Thorntown, Jarrett Hise (companion, Allison) of Crawfordsville, and Jessica High (Joel Thompson) of Crawfordsville; and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ardith was preceded in death by her son, Terry Keen; daughter, Tammy Dawes; and brother, Albert Noble, Jr.

Family and friends will gather Friday, Oct. 28, for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Larry Truitt officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Ardith will be laid to rest at West Ridge Park in Indianapolis.
