Alberta "Corinne" Burkett, 90 of Jamestown. died January 25, 2023, at Homewood Health Campus, Lebanon. Corinne was born April 13, 1932, in Glasgow, Kentucky a daughter of the late Joseph "Loy" and Mary (Frances) Fink.

She married Victor Burkett on December 24, 1949. He preceded her in death March 8, 1995.

Corinne worked for Steamline Trailers for many years in Thorntown.Her family moved to Jamestown early in her life, remaining there after her marriage to Victor, building their house in 1964 and raising their children in Jamestown.Corinne was a friend to everyone, and everyone loved her. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Boo Boo, mushroom hunting, crocheting, collecting ruby glass, apple stuff, antiques and refinishing them. She loved being a "Nanny" and babysitting her grandchildren.

Survivors include son, Melvin Burkett of Greencastle; daughter, Vicki (Ric) LaFollette of Thorntown; grandchildren, Anita (Paul) Meyers, Clint LaFollette, Eric Burkett and Beau Burkett; step grandchildren, Brian Ricketts, Brad Ricketts, Kathy Morlan, Brannon Ricketts and Bret Ricketts; great granddaughter, Ashley Johnson; and special companion, Gomer Justice.

In addition to her parents and husband, Corinne was preceded in death by her son, Steve Burkett; siblings, James Fink, Goldie Fink, Gladys Emberton and Carlene Randal; daughter-in-law, Sandra K. Burkett; and granddaughter-in-law, Jaima LaFollette.

Family and friends will gather, Monday, January 30, for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Corinne will be laid to rest at IOOF Cemetery in Jamestown.
