2400 N. Lebanon Street as the Godby Home Furnishings Store. The building was built in the 1960's and served as a furniture store until it was converted into a mortuary. Taylor and Smock Furniture operated in the building until the Godby family purchased it in the early 1990's.
In August of 2007 John Leppert and Matt Drury began converting the Godby Furniture store into what would become the Drury & Leppert Moruary. The 14,400 square foot building was completely remodeled and a 114 space parking lot was added. Our building is designed with an emphasis on hadicap accessiblitly, especially in our large restrooms. The building was sold to H. Red Strawmyer and the name of the business was changed to Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary. As the business has grown serving more families in the Lebanon area Matt and Liz Drury were able to puchase the business in February of 2011. The Drurys are from Lebanon and are proud to be a part of their hometown community. They are dedicated to giving back to a community that has given so much to them. We are committed to offering excellence in funeral service in an extradordinary facility.
From the moment you enter our building you will notice the attention to every detail. We have designed a spacious, comfortable and welcoming enviroment so that everyone will feel welcome. Although funeral service has changed over the years, many funeral service providers have not. Our philosophy is to provide professional, detailed and efficient service in a friendly manner. We are proud to offer 2,500 sqaure feet of wide hallway space with comfortable seating available ensuring that none of our guests will ever have to wait out of doors. There is a difference in service and facilities, we invite comparison.
Our guests are welcome to use our private conversation areas to visit with their family and friends outside of the visitation and service areas. We have designed a wide open interior with lots of natural light we are able to provide comfort and accessibility to families and their guests.
Families and guests will find our community room very accessible and convenient where complimentary beverages are offered. We do not charge for the use of this space where gatherings may be hosted before, during or after services. We maintain relationships with local caterers; our staff will assist making arrangements for any size gathering. This space may be divided into two equal size rooms for added privacy and comfort.
We are capable of seating up to 500 guests in our very large chapel. We are able to divide this space into smaller more intimate size rooms.
We are proud to offer truly state of the art audio visual equipment along with webcast viewing of funeral services. Our 153" screen along with flat screen televisions allow families to display Celebration of Life DVD.
Most funeral service providers offer their casket selection in a seperate room with very few affordable options. We are proud to offer casket selection from $550 and will never make anyone feel uncomfortable or obligated to select something more than they would like. We believe that informed families make wiser decisions. You will never have to ask us for our General Price List as they are readily available throughout our facility. There is so much that we can do for you with so many options available. We are able to offer a complete traditional funeral starting at $4,300. We invite comparison and stand behind our commitment to offering excellence in service. Please feel free to call or stop by so that we may share our costs associated with the service that we provide. All pre-arranged and pre-paid funeral services are transferrable. Do not be misled, you have the right to select the funeral service provider of your choice. Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary will honor all pre-arrangements from other funeral service providers.
